  1. Just listened to you on Radio 4 Extra, acting in "The Power of Dawn" about the death of Tolstoy. You were a "young peasant girl" sent to sit with Tolstoy as he reminisced and died. You succeeded in conveying an eager, innocent hunger for the knowledge - of life, love and sex - that this old man and former libertine possessed...

  2. Thank you Paul. That was my first job as a professional actress and the idea of working with Sir Michael Redgrave - not to mention that fact that the legendary Gwen Ffrangcon Davies signed her script for me - was incredibly exciting.

  3. Just finished Summer at the Garden Cafe having previously read The Library at the Edge of The World. I thought they were both brilliant bringing home to me the parts of Ireland that I love and long to explore once more with new vision.

    1. Lovely to know that you enjoyed them. I've just completed the third in the Finfarran series - it's called The Mistletoe Matchmaker and will be published before Christmas. Hope you'll enjoy that too.

Incidentally, if you haven't already done so, could I ask you to consider posting reader reviews of The Library at the Edge of The World and Summer at the Garden Café on Amazon? You don't have to have bought your copies there and the review only needs to be a few lines, but reader responses on Amazon really help to raise the books' online visibility - which demonstrates to a publisher that people want more of a particular writer or series.

Please don't feel any pressure, though. I'm delighted to hear that you've enjoyed the books and very grateful to you for letting me know. All good wishes from Ireland, where the sun is currently blazing. (Though heaven known how long that will last:) ~ Felicity.
